F8 partner program terms

1. 1.Who can join

   • Anyone with an account can join. There is no approval step at signup.
   • Joining gives you a partner code and links, and nothing else. Partners are reviewed when they first ask for a payout.
   • Your code cannot be changed once claimed.

2. 2.How commission is earned

   • Commission is earned on real payments only, never on clicks or signups.
   • A payment earns when a buyer reached the product through your link for that product, had not paid for that product before, and you had started promoting the product before the payment.
   • A buyer stays with the first partner credited for them on that product. That is never changed afterwards.
   • Once a buyer is credited to you, every payment they make for that product within 90 days of that credit earns commission.
   • Each product has its own rate and states what it is paid on: the sale, without tips or processing fees, or F8’s fee on the sale. Commission is calculated in the currency of the payment and rounded down.

3. 3.Hold period

   • Each commission is held for 30 days from when it is earned. After that it becomes payable.
   • If the hold period changes, the change applies to new commissions only.

4. 4.Refunds

   • When a buyer is refunded, the matching commission is reversed at once. This applies to full and part refunds, and it is taken from held commission first.
   • A reversal is never more than the commission that was earned on that buyer.

5. 5.Buying through your own link

   • Your own purchases do not earn commission. This is checked against your email and your account.
   • Such a purchase may still appear in your account so you can see it happened.

6. 6.Suspension

   • A partner can be suspended. While suspended, you earn no new commission.
   • Refund reversals still apply during suspension.
   • Your links keep redirecting visitors, and buyers credited to you stay credited to you. Suspension can be reversed.

7. 7.Payouts

   • You can request a payout once your payable balance reaches KES 1,000.
   • Payouts are reviewed and approved by a person, then sent by M-Pesa or bank transfer using the details you give with your request. The review can include your clicks, sales and any purchases through your own link.
   • Balances are paid in the currency they were earned in. They are not converted.

8. 8.Changes to rates

   • The default rate is 5%. Each product’s rate is set when it is listed and can be changed later.
   • Your rate on a product is recorded when you start promoting it. A later change to the product’s rate does not change yours.
   • If F8 sets a new rate for you on a product, it applies to new commissions only. Commission already recorded keeps the rate it was earned at.
   • If you stop promoting a product, or it is paused, buyers already credited to you keep earning until their 90 days end. Your links keep redirecting.
