How it works

Each sale is held for 30 days, then it becomes payable. Your account shows the exact date for every sale.

Once your payable balance reaches KES 1,000, Request payout unlocks. You choose when to ask.

You tap Request payout and enter your M-Pesa number or bank details. A person checks the request and approves it, then sends the money and records the reference.

We let you know when it is approved, and again when it is sent, with the reference.

Payouts are not automatic. Your first payout gets the closest look, because that is when we first review a partner.

Buyers can get refunds. The 30-day hold means a refunded sale is taken off before it is paid out, rather than taken back from you later.

Held money is not lost money. It is shown separately from your payable balance until its date arrives.

You earn in the currency of the sale, and it is not converted when you earn it. A KES balance is paid out in KES.

A real payment for a product you are promoting, by a buyer your link brought in. You must start promoting the product before the payment happens.

Clicks and signups never earn on their own.

Each product shows its own rate. The default is 5%.

Most products pay a percentage of each sale. Tips and payment processing fees are not included in that amount.

Marketplace products pay a percentage of F8's fee on the sale, because most of that money belongs to the seller. These are labelled “of F8's fee”.

For 90 days from their first sale through you. Every payment they make for that product in that time earns, including repeat purchases and renewals.

If they have paid for that product before, the sale does not count for you. The program pays for finding new buyers of a product.

Until their first purchase, the latest link they clicked is the one that counts. After that purchase, the buyer stays with that partner, for that product.

That sale may not reach you. Your link is remembered in the browser it was opened in, so it works best when the buyer pays on the same phone or computer.

Not for now. Buyers pay the normal price, and your link does not change the checkout.

The commission on that sale is taken off straight away, first from your held balance. You can see the line in your earnings, so you always know why a number moved.

A part refund takes off a matching part of the commission. You are never charged more than you earned on that buyer.

You can, but it will not earn. We check both your email and your account. The purchase still shows up so you can see the link worked.

Traffic that does not look real, such as sales with no clicks behind them or unusual sales patterns. We check these signals when you ask for a payout.

While suspended you earn nothing new. Refunds still come off. Your links keep sending people to the product, and suspension can be reversed.

Your rate on a product is fixed when you start promoting it. If that product’s rate is lowered later, your rate stays the same.

Buyers you already brought in keep earning for you until their 90 days end. If a product is paused, your links still work and nobody new can start promoting it.

No. You see sale amounts and dates, never a buyer’s name or contact details. Buyers’ details stay private.
